Children ages 8-18 and parents/adults can learn how to paddle a kayak properly in a family kayak class held on two Sundays, May 15 and May 22 (3-5pm) at Charles River Canoe and Kayak at Nahanton Park in Newton. Particular emphasis will be placed on safety issues.

The class, sponsored by the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, includes a three-week pass so the entire family can paddle as much as they want.

A Kid’s Kayak class for ages 10-14 will be held on Wednesdays, June 1 and June 8 (3:30-5:30pm) or Sundays, June 12 and June 19 (3-5pm). Call 617-558-6453 for details.
