FANSplash: The Splash Park at Borggaard Beach Grand Opening
Senator Jehlen and State Representative Jason Lewis, early supporters of FANSplash, will be in attendance.
After the ribbon cutting, children will be able to play on the splash pad (swimsuit required). There will also be games and activities for kids and a concession stand will be provided by the Chill Zone.
The Splash Park is a water attraction with 19 above and below ground elements for children to play in and is a great alternative when the pond is not an option. It also serves as a great supplement to a fun day at the beach. The splash park is a zero depth park with a controlled atmosphere and has restrooms on site.
It's close proximity to Winchester's Farmers Market on the Town Common helps create a wonderful day's experience in Winchester, during which families can enjoy locally grown and produced foods, as well as swimming, splashing and playing in the sand.
The Splash Park will be open every weekend after the grand opening and then will open seven days a week starting June 21. Splash Park hours of operation will be 7 days a week from 12:00am-5:00pm. During periods of excessively hot weather, beach hours may be adjusted to offer the public greater swimming opportunities.
Daily passes: for child over 18 months cost is $4/day and adults are $5/day. Season passes are available. For more information visit www.winrec.com
