You will find creative clothing, including scarves and shawls for all occasions, colorful blankets, towels, placemats, and other household items.
Most items are hand-woven, though there are others that are knitted, felted and/or sewn.
The 2018 Guild Challenge and Exhibit is a 'Profile Draft'.
A profile draft is a weaving design made up of blocks and creates a silhouette of the pattern.
The weaver, within the specific given profile draft, is able to use any structure to create a household item.
Exhibit pieces showcase the talents of the weaver's craft.
There will be an on-site weaving demonstration using a 4-shaft direct tie-up loom.
Admission is free.
Hours are Thursday-Friday, 10/25-26, 10-7; Saturday 10/27 10-6.
Further information at www.weaversguildofboston.org.
The Weavers' Guild of Boston is the country's oldest weavers guild.
