The Friends of the Wenham Council on Aging have organized “Kite Day” for grandparents, families, parents and children for Saturday, April 21. The day includes food, music, open flying time, kite demonstrations, giant kites and stunt kite lessons.

Kite-building workshop: Takes place 10 a.m.-noon, at Buker School, 1 School St., Wenham. Cost for materials: $5 per kite. Each person who registers receives a free copy of “How to Fly a Kite.”

Kite flying: Noon-4 p.m., at Myopia Schooling Fields, opposite the polo fields at 435 Bay Road, Hamilton.

Glenn Davison of www.kiteflyingusa.com and Archie Stewart of Kite Education, Chestnut Hill, will assist with workshops and kite flying.

Ongoing: A display of miniature kites by Glenn Davison is open for viewing for the months of March and April at the Senior Center on School Street in Wenham.
