Town Day usually takes place on the first Saturday in June.

The thousands of individuals and families who attend can enjoy a day of browsing exhibits, playing games, competing in athletics, eating(!), listening to different types of music, attending the health fair, and watching the grand finale, fireworks.

On Friday evening, (Town Day Eve), Ben Rudnick & Friends will be playing a live set at 6:30pm in front of the Mt. Vernon St. Firehouse. The street is closed and there will literally be dancing in the streets.

On Saturday Evening, there will be a fireworks display at Manchester Field at 9:15PM. You can fine more fireworks displays near Boston in our handy guide to summer fun!

Now in its 40th year, Town Day continues to grow in popularity as a great way to kick off the summer in a New England town!

Town Day is produced by the Winchester Town Day Committee, an all-volunteer group that welcomes new members. Town Day is self-funded through the sales of exhibitor space, T-Shirts and hats. In addition, the generosity of several local sponsors assist in funding several of the Town Day events.
