Established in 1977, The Children's Book Shop has one of the largest selections of children's titles. In addition to the over 20,000 titles in stock, they can special order books and have them in our store in usually a week.
They also carry teaching resource guides, books on tape, music tapes, greeting cards, and various book-related plush figures. The pleasant staff, consisting of teachers and parents, offers an expertise and knowledge which has made The Children's Book Shop a perennial recipient of the Brookline TAB reader's choice award for best children's bookstore.

Monday through Saturday, 10:00am - 5:30pm
Thursdays until 8:00pm
Sundays, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
(closed Sundays during June, July, and August)
Extended holiday hours in December:
Wednesday through Saturday until 8:00pm
Sundays 1:00-6:00pm.
