The Andover Bookstore is the heart of the cultural community of Andover, a gathering place for storytelling, author events, book groups, and poetry readings. Over the years (almost two hundred), there has been a spirit characterized by the scent of a thousand fires in the fireplace, the dark-wood bookshelves, and corners with comfy chairs for reading. One staff member refers to it as “the Brigadoon of Bookstores.”
