About Henry Bear's Park:
This charming neighborhood store offers a wide variety of interactive, educational toys and books for newborns through teenagers. The space is bright and inviting with nice open areas and an interesting tin ceiling. Baskets of toys are spread throughout the store, and in the back corner is a comfortable book corner with chairs for little readers.

The large storefront windows beckon children to sneak a peek at the fun inside, where you'll find a large selection of Playmobil, Lego and Brio toys. Fortunately for kids, there are lots of 'test drive' opportunities; kids can play with a Brio train set, maneuver some remote control Rokenbok vehicles, or pound a hammer to create some basic Brio cars and trucks.

Henry Bear's also has a wide selection of dress-up clothes. Girl choices dominate the selection, but the store makes a good attempt at offering boys some nifty choices too.

Henry Bear's Park is a wonderful parent's resource that offers mothers' groups, puppet shows and other interesting activities.

Story Hours:
They hold a drop-in story time in both their Cambridge and Arlington stores every Thursday at 11:00 am. There is no age limit, as they leave it open to the children who show up when selecting a book. They even take requests from time to time.

Mother's Group:
They also have a drop in mom infant groups every Tuesday from 9:30-11 alternating weeks between Cambridge and Arlington. This is an excellent resource for moms and their infants from newborn to 1 year. You are invited to make new friends, get advice, and share concerns with other moms. Occasionally they feature speakers. Please call Joann at the Cambridge store (617) 547-8424 for more details.

New Mom's Group Hours for 2005!
By popular demand-henry bears park will try some new hours for their moms groups every tuesday morning. We will still alternate between our Arlington and Cambridge stores. However in Cambridge only we will have our moms group from 11-12:30. In our Arlington store it will remain 9:30-11. Hopefully this will cover all our little nappers.

Summer Kidtivities:
Kidtivities are creative weekly activities for children in June, July & August. Skill levels for each activity differ (see chart below). Henry Bear's Park provides the materials needed for a nominal fee and your kids provide the creativity and imaginationfor a great afternoon! Be sure to stop in or call ahead to reserve a slot in each class time.

Kidtivities are held in both the Arlington and Newton storesduring the summer months. Please call (617) 969-8616 (Newton) for more detailed information and class registration.
