UMass Lowell Center for the Arts offers professional, nationally and internationally known performing arts in two distinctive programs.
The Discovery Series is offered to families on Sunday afternoons throughout the year. All performances are selected for their high artistic quality, family appeal and age appropriateness. The series celebrates human creativity, imagination, interpersonal communication and the magical bond forged between performer and audience. See Discovery Series performance schedule.
The STARTS (Students and Teacher Arts) Series offers a variety of high quality performing arts experiences for students during the school day. The Center is dedicated to introducing students and teachers to the performing arts in a manner which is both entertaining and educational. Performances include theatre, opera, dance, music, puppets, musical theatre, black light theatre, juggling and more, all linked to the curriculum for grades K – 10. Over thirty-five thousand students and teachers participate in STARTS programs annually. See STARTS school performance schedule.

Traveling North on Route 3:
Take exit 30B to the Lowell Connector and follow the directions below.
Traveling South on Route 3:
Take exit 30A for I-495 North. Immediately take exit 35C for the Lowell Connector. Follow the directions below.
Traveling on I-495 North or South:
Take exit 35C to the Lowell Connector. Follow the directions below.
From the Lowell Connector:
Take the first exit (Exit 3) off the Lowell Connector to Industrial Avenue. Go right at the stop sign at the end of the off ramp and proceed to the rotary. Take the first right off of the rotary onto Industrial Avenue. The first traffic light is at the intersection with Chelmsford Street (Route 110). Proceed straight across. Industrial Avenue becomes Stevens Street at this intersection.
Follow Stevens Street for approximately 1.5 miles through several intersections to the 2nd stop sign. Turn right onto Middlesex Street. Take the first left at the blinking light onto Wilder Street.
Proceed a short distance on Wilder to the traffic lights at the intersection with Broadway Street. From this intersection, Durgin Hall is the third (and final) UMass Lowell building on your left.
