The Dunn Planetarium at Danvers High School will offer “50 Years of Space Exploration,” as part of the Friday Nights Under the Stars shows.

On Thursday, Oct. 4, 1957, Russia successfully launched Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite to orbit the Earth, thus beginning the Space Age. This show will look at the achievements of the last 50 years, remember the brave men and women who accomplished them and examine the future in space. Summer constellations and asterisms will be included with their stories.
